Has the following openings for the 2025-2026 School Year:

Grades PK-8 Instructional Coach

West Point Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled PK-8 Instructional Coach to support teachers in enhancing instructional practices in reading, math, and behavioral management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of elementary and middle school educational principles, evidence-based instructional strategies, and behavior intervention techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Support & Coaching:

    • Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practices in reading and math through modeling, co-teaching, and observation.

    • Analyze student data to guide instructional decisions and develop targeted interventions.

    • Provide ongoing feedback, resources, and professional development aligned with district and state standards/goals.

  • Behavioral Management & Interventions:

    • Assist teachers in implementing behavior interventions and supports to create a safe and engaging learning environment.

    • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure a consistent approach to behavior interventions across classrooms.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with administrators, teachers, and support staff to align instructional practices with district goals.

    • Serve as a resource to teachers by providing research-based strategies and best practices.

Must have a Nebraska Teacher's Certificate. Coaching opportunities available but not required. District Pays 100% premium for full family health. Blue Cross Blue Shield $1050 Deductible or HSA $3800 Dual Option. ($7600 Family Deductible). District pays the difference of premium cost between the $1050 and the $3800.  Amount is deposited into the employee’s HSA account monthly if the HSA option is chosen.

·         Dental is covered for employee only, family coverage will be paid monthly by employee, if chooses to receive. 

·         District Pays 100% of the cost for Long Term Disability (LTD).

·         District Pays for a term life insurance policy with Accidental Death & Disability provision. The Policy face value is $20,000.00. Employee is offered to purchase an additional $15,000.00 policy.  The supplemental insurance is employee’s cost.

·         District Offers Vision Insurance, 100% at employee’s cost.

·         NPERS (Nebraska Public Employees Retirement Systems), Deductions of 9.78% is mandatory, District matches with 9.8778%.

Leave

Certificated Employees receive:

·        4 (Four) personal Days each school year. Able to carry over 1 day. At the end of the school year, teachers may contribute up to 4 (four) days to their accumulated sick leave.

·        8 (Eight) Sick Days each school year, Cumulative Maximum is 45 (forty-five) days. Unused sick days above 35 (thirty-five) days at the end of the school year with be reimbursed in July at a rate of $25.00 per day.

·         Professional Leave and Bereavement Leave are also granted with Administrative authorization.

Grades K-4 Elementary Education Teacher

West Point Public Schools, a C1 school, has an opening for an elementary teacher. West Point Public Schools is committed to Professional Learning Communities and has developed an aligned curriculum.  West Point Public Schools has $40,400 base with a new teacher incentive program. Teachers with 2 or less years previous experience will start on Step 3 at $43,632. All years of experience are accepted, life insurance, and full family health benefits.   Must have a Nebraska Teacher's Certificate. Coaching opportunities available but not required. West Point Public Schools seeks to find a Business Education Teacher to Join the Cadet Team for the 2025-2026 school year - All endorsements will be considered with a strong background in technology.
