Friendship, Fitness and 5K Fun since 2003
Girls on the Run Is Back at West Point Beemer This Spring!
West Point Beemer Middle School is set to host another fun and fabulous Girls on the Run team this spring for girls in 5th and 6th grades.
Girls on the Run is an innovative after-school program that combines exercise, education, mentoring and “Girl Power!” to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident with a curriculum that incorporates running/walking. Each meeting focuses on a topic like friendship or communication and includes engaging activities and running games that foster learning and skills on the lesson of the day. The team will be training to complete a 5K run/walk at the end of the season at the school.
The team will meet twice weekly after school for 8 weeks starting March 5th.
Online registration is open at www.GOTRNebraska.org until March 1st.
Don’t miss the chance to enroll your daughter in this fun physical education and character-building program and find out for yourself why “Girls on the Run is so much fun!”
Questions? See Linda Hughes or Tessa Recker, who will be coaching the team.
5th Grade Students were given the opportunity to be up close and personal with stars, planets, and constellations today when the Star Lab came to visit! 🌟
They talked about the formation of stars, the planets in our solar system, and the constellations that we can see in the night sky. What a great experience! 🪐💫
Mr. Schroeder welcomed some of the elementary students in to see the newest additions to the Ag building… the 4 adorable baby pigs! 🐷
Mr. Schroeder also asked some of the students about the types of animals that are raised in our area of Nebraska, and he talked about how quickly the baby pigs grow. Last week they weighed around 3lbs, and today he weighed them again and they are now 11lbs!
Departure time: 4PM
Return time: Anticipated between 11:30pm-12:00am
